About Me

Hello my name is Karen Batty. I am an experienced practitioner who is passionate about the possibility for change through professional counselling.

My background is in education and my change in direction to the counselling profession seemed to be the next natural career step as I have always believed that there isn’t enough help in the wider community for adults and young people who are struggling with life’s challenges.

My counselling experience includes working in Primary Care (NHS medical practice), Relate: adults and young people and Cruse Bereavement: adults and young people. In addition I have worked in primary, secondary school and higher education settings, and in private practice.

My clients value the anonymity and confidentiality I offer through my professional practice. I am registered member of the BACP and adhere to their strict professional code of ethics. I am fully insured and regularly update my skills and qualifications through CPD training days.
